Green Hill Presbyterian Church

Weekly Announcements, 11/20

Green Hill’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm. Our guest speaker will be Mark Howard, the President of the Presbyterian Home for Children.  Green Hill Cafe on Sunday will be limited.  Coffee and a few snacks will be served inside the kitchen.

At the church’s Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday afternoon, a special collection will be taken for the Presbyterian Home for Children. Our support ensures that children and families in need will receive services such as pediatric hospice care, temporary and long-term residential care, educational programs, family counseling, and more. Donation envelopes (white) for the Home can be found in the pew racks and they will also be available at the dinner tables this afternoon. Checks should be made payable to Green Hill.

The Thank Offering has long been a tradition of Presbyterian Women. It has provided and continues to provide much-needed financial assistance to numerous worthwhile programs not included in ongoing General Assembly mission support. Each year, domestic and international projects are carefully and prayerfully selected by the Creative Ministries Offering Committee to help meet a crucial need. If you feel called to contribute to this program, please use one of the blue donation envelopes which can be found in the pew racks.

The balance in the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund is getting dangerously low. This is the fund we use to help those in need in our area. At this time of year, we mostly help those who are in danger of having their utilities shut off. If you feel called to give, please use one of the yellow envelopes from the pew racks.
