Green Hill Food Closet Drive was a Success

The following letter to the editor appeared in the Southeast Sun earlier this month:

The Green Hill Food Closet Committee wants to thank Boy Scout Troop 150 (sponsored by Green Hill Presbyterian Church) for their hard work on the recent food drive. The Scouts, leaders, and parent volunteers spent two days in front of Wal-Mart collecting food and money for the church’s food closet. In addition, we thank Wal-Mart for their cooperation in working with the Scouts; and finally, we thank the community of Enterprise for your generosity.

This was a very successful food drive, and because of your donations, our food closet will be able to continue to serve the citizens of Coffee County. We have maintained this mission for 30 years, working with local agencies and churches that refer families and individuals in need of food. We appreciate very much the hard work and compassion of all involved, and we can assure you that we will continue to serve Coffee County to the best of our ability.

With a grateful heart,

Food Closet Committee
