ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING
Since 1949 Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world. Your generous gifts to this Special Offering help provide relief for those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed.
We will take up our annual collection for the One Great Hour of Sharing on Easter Sunday, April 5. If you wish to donate this Sunday, please use one of the special envelopes that can be found in the pew racks.
WEDNESDAY PASSOVER MEAL
This Wednesday, April 1, Green Hill will host a unique Fellowship Supper. In addition to our regular potluck, we will participate in a Passover Seder Meal. Passover is a special day that combines the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the time of the Passover, when the Jews were spared death of the first male child. Passover is also known by Christians as the time Jesus celebrated the Last Supper.
As we eat our Fellowship Supper, Rev. White will explain the Seder service, and we will take time to eat the special elements of the Seder Meal. Bring your favorite meal to share and come join us for a fun time, an informative time, and a wonderful fellowship time.
The Maundy Thursday service will be held on April 2 at 6:00pm.
The Easter Sunrise Service on April 5 will be held across the street at Lee Street Baptist. It will begin at 6:30am. Following the service, light breakfast foods will be available in their new Fellowship Hall.
