A Message of Hope from The Fellowship Community

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.    1 Corinthians 15:55-58
Staring Down Death Itself

Paul Detterman for The Fellowship Community

This one is for preachers and for those who love and pray for them.

If you are like most preachers I know, you have spent significant time recently staring at the books on your shelves, the bird on the branch out your window, or the guy with the funny hat across from you in the coffee shop, trying your best to come up with a way to approach the Easter sermon – again. It can seem daunting.

What is the mission of the Church? What are we about as The Fellowship Community? Why does it matter? TFC, in partnership with The Presbyterian Foundation, is creating a six-part video series exploring how the six historic “Great Ends” of the Church still form the basis for ministry and mission in the 21st century, and why a missional community like TFC is so important. These videos bring the faces and voices of TFC to your congregation in

National Gathering

September 6-8, The Fellowship Community will meet in Pittsburgh for our 2016 National Gathering. Historic First Presbyterian Church, a congregation focusing their mission on living out the good news of Jesus Christ in the vibrant city center of a revitalized urban community, will be our host. Under the canopy of missional discipleship, special focus tracks will provide nurture and resources for small membership congregations, Korean congregations, Ruling Elders, church planters, and congregations interested in engagement with the global church. We have secured a very special rate at the Omni William Penn hotel 800 feet from the church. You will not want to miss this event!

“Deeper Grace”

Ray Hollenbach for The Fellowship Community

Deeper Grace is the kind of book that can re-awaken a desire to dive deeper again into the mystery of God’s grace. Churches spend money on sound systems and coffee bars. Good sound and good coffee are great, but what the world is desperately seeking is a people full of grace. Deeper Grace helps you discover the source of all growth in Jesus, and the foundations of life with Christ. God’s grace is the wellspring of spiritual formation. Deeper Grace reminds us of the wealth of Heaven available to every student of Jesus.
