Celebrating Girl Scout Sunday

We had a wonderful morning yesterday! Girl Scouts from Service Unit 923 attended the morning worship service at Green Hill. The girls led the pledge to the flag, recited the Promise and Law, and served as Ushers and Acolytes during the service. The three Green Hill Girl Scouts, took care of the morning’s special music by teaching the congregation the campfire version of Jesus Loves Me, complete with using sit-upon buckets! They had everyone in the Sanctuary clapping along! Afterward we had Birthday Cake in the Fellowship Hall to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of Girl Scouting. We had a fantastic time visiting, looking at patches, and sharing stories. The morning was a success! Also, the Green Hill Girl Scouts delivered ten boxes of cookies that were purchased to be donated to the Green Hill Food Pantry.
