A MESSAGE FROM WINSHAPE CAMPS:

ALL: Heart, Soul, Mind, & Strength

Have you noticed how passionate people get about things? Whether it’s college football, band competitions, volleyball tournaments, video games, favorite TV shows or musical artists, everyone gets excited about something. We even schedule our days, or weeks, around game times, concert dates, or new releases. We’re all wired this way—there is something that makes each of us want to go all in. While games and concerts and TV shows are fine, what is most deserving of being given our all?

There was a man in the Bible who asked Jesus a question; Jesus’ answer can help us understand what (or who) is worthy of our all. The man asked Jesus which of the commandments was most important. Here is Jesus’ answer: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30). This is still true for us right now, today. The one thing worth our all is loving God. But how do we solve the mystery of what loving God with our all looks like in real life?

Our excitement for things like sports, video games, or music comes and goes; our passion for these things may grow or lessen based on seasons, updates, or debuts. There are times we are just more on fire than others. But, we want to solve the mystery; we want to see what could happen in the world if even a small number of us went all in with our commitment to God and endeavored to passionately live out Mark 12:30.
