Weekly Announcements, October 19, 2017

Sunday, October 29, is going to be a very special day for Green Hill! Not only is it Heritage Sunday, but it is also the day Pastor Tim will officially be installed as our minster. Please join us at 11:00am to worship God and to focus on our Green Hill heritage. At 4pm the Presbytery of South Alabama will lead a formal installation service in the sanctuary for Rev. Dr. Timothy Oleksy. Dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall following the service. We hope everyone can attend!

The Boy Scouts from Troop #150 will hold their annual food drive on Saturday, November 4. They will be out in front of the Walmart in Enterprise, Alabama, with the Green Hill Church bus. The plan is to stuff the bus full of food that can be used to feed those in need in Coffee County. All food donated will go to the Green Hill Food Pantry. The Pantry is currently running low on all supplies, so everything donated will be appreciated and put to good use. Thank you to everyone for your continued support!

The church’s annual Stewardship Sunday is fast approaching. At this time, we ask each member, each family, and all our regular worshipers, to prayerfully examine their resources and to pledge a portion to God’s work. Soon everyone will receive a pledge card in the mail. On Stewardship Sunday, November 19, a special collection of the pledge cards will be held during the morning service. The cards may also be returned by mail to the church office. These pledges help the church plan our budget for the coming year.
