CONGREGATIONAL MEETING SUNDAY
A congregational meeting will be held Sunday, January 6, immediately following the morning worship service. The purpose of the meeting is to elect two new Trustees and two new Elders. The Annual Nominating Committee will present its recommendations to the congregation. All members are asked to attend.
SESSION MEETING SUNDAY
For 2019, the regular meeting day of the Session has been moved from the first Tuesday of the month to the first Sunday of the month, the day we have Communion. This is so that Rev. Jamison can serve as our Moderator.
SEASON OF EPIPHANY
The Season of Christmastide ends this week and we enter the Season of Epiphany. Epiphany is the celebration of God’s manifestation, or self-revelation, to the world in Jesus Christ. For most of the next two months the church paraments (Bible marker, lectern scarf, and Communion table runner) will be green. For three special Sundays these items will be changed to white: Epiphany of the Lord, Baptism of the Lord, and Transfiguration of the Lord. The Season of Epiphany will end in March when we enter the Season of Lent.
