PRESBYTERIAN HERITAGE SUNDAY
Every year, Presbyterians celebrate Heritage Sunday, a day to reflect upon and learn more about the long and rich history of the Presbyterian Church in America. Heritage Sunday always falls on the Sunday closest to May 21, the opening date of the first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America in 1789.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HYMN?
Do you have a familiar hymn you would like to sing? Or maybe a new hymn you would like to learn? Please let Sandy know! She is taking suggestions for hymns we will sing on Sundays. Just leave a note on the front pew by the piano and she will see about working your song in for us to sing during an upcoming worship service.
CHURCH NEWSLETTER DEADLINE
Monday, May 20, is the deadline for submissions to the next edition of the Green Hill Good News. As usual, we will combine the news for June/July into a single newsletter, so it is important to get your summer news in early.
BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER
Please join us in celebrating and supporting mothers in our community with the Wiregrass Emergency Pregnancy Service (WEPS) annual Baby Bottle Fund-raiser. The process is simple: Just pick up a bottle in the Fellowship Hall, keep it at home over the next month to fill with your loose change, and then bring it back to the church on Father’s Day. Your support will help provide free testing, guidance, education, and material support for the mothers who are most in need.
