SEASONS OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

The secular world around you may tell you that Christmas is over, but we Christians know that we are still in the middle of the Christmas Season. This time, known as the Twelve Days of Christmas will officially end as we enter the Season of Epiphany, beginning on January 6.

The word Christmas is short for “Christ’s Mass,” the worship service that marks the birth of Jesus. We are given the gift of twelve days to tell the story, to sing the carols, and to enjoy living in the good news. The Incarnation is a surprising marvel of God’s love in action, and in this season we are given the time to contemplate it and celebrate it with joy and thanksgiving.

PRAYER LIST NAMES

Please note that on the first Sunday in January, the church office will start off the New Year with a new prayer list. We are going to remove everyone and start fresh. If you know of someone who should remain on the list, or of someone who needs to be added to the list, please contact the church office. Thank you.

CHURCH NEWSLETTERS

If you are on the list to receive a printed newsletter, please pick your copy up in the Fellowship Hall today. Thank you!
