With the amended “safer at home” order that has gone into effect in Alabama this morning, Green Hill is looking forward to trying to get our weekly schedule back to running as normally as possible. The Session has decided that we return to having worship services at the church this Sunday, May 17, but we will also continue to broadcast the service online. This way people can choose to join with us to worship either in person or on their computers.
For Sunday School, we are not yet comfortable returning to meeting in person. For the time being, we will continue to post these lessons online. For the service at the church, we will spread out across the sanctuary to keep distance between families. We will not pass the offering plate during the offering time. We will not have our usual “coffee and fellowship” time before the service.
So, we look forward to seeing at least some of you in person for morning worship at 11:00am on Sunday. We will join in spirit with those of you who are watching us from home. We pray that our church, and the rest of our country, will be able to safely return to our usual activities very soon.
