IN LOVING MEMORY OF DONNA BIGLER
We have learned from Donna Bigler’s daughter that Donna passed away on September 19, 2020. It was Donna’s wish that her ashes be mixed with her husband’s and that they be interred together. The family is planning on holding a small private memorial service at Meadowlawn on November 25.
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY
The church’s annual Stewardship Sunday has been scheduled for Sunday, November 15. On that day, during the morning worship service, we will hold a special collection of pledge cards. These pledges help the church plan the budget for the coming year. Pledge cards can also be returned directly to the church office. Blank pledge cards have been mailed out to all church members. Extra blank cards can be found the desk in the church office.
CHRISTMAS FAIR & MARKET
On Saturday, November 14, from 10am to 3pm, our local homeschool students will hold a Christmas Fair and Market in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to come and shop. For the students, this event isn’t about making money. This “entrepreneur fair” is an educational experience that will help them learn about running their own businesses. They have been working on their inventories of homemade Christmas crafts and they are looking forward to pitching sales to potential customers. Please come and be a part of local homeschool education.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is Nov. 16–23, 2020. If you are packing a shoebox for OCC, you can either drop it off at St. Luke United Methodist Church during the week, or you can bring it to Green Hill no later than Sunday, November 22, and the church office will make sure the boxes get to St. Luke’s on the 23rd.
