This year for World Thinking Day, the Girl Scouts of Enterprise are going to create a special “Pinwheels for Peace” display on the front lawn of Green Hill Presbyterian Church. The official date for “Pinwheels for Peace” is in September, but since this year’s World Thinking Day theme is Peace, we’re going to create our Pinwheels a little early this year, on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
All local Girl Scouts, their friends, families, and anyone who would like to participate is invited to create a pinwheel and bring it to Green Hill to display on our lawn. Pinwheels can be dropped off at the church office in advance, or they can be placed in person on Sunday the 21st.

This project is non-political – peace doesn’t necessarily have to be associated with the conflict of war, it can be related to violence/intolerance in our daily lives, to peace of mind. To each of us, peace can take on a different meaning, but, in the end, it all comes down to a simple definition: “a state of calm and serenity, with no anxiety, the absence of violence, freedom from conflict or disagreement among people or groups of people.”
Any questions about this event can be directed to Sandra DeTora at the church office.
