Our Mission

Green Hill Presbyterian Church

MISSION

We take seriously Christ’s command, as recorded in each of the four Gospels, to go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Paul reminds us that we are united as one body, with many parts, and that each of us have certain roles appointed by God.  We believe that as we participate fully in God’s calling for our lives we will fulfill the chief and highest end of life, which is to glorify God, and to fully enjoy him forever. We offer worship to all in our community, and we feel a special calling to the members of the military community at Fort Rucker.  Since God calls, gathers, and sustains people to be the body of Christ, inspired and ignited by God’s own Spirit, we feel the climate in the congregation reflects God’s tremendous and expansive love.

To implement this mission, with God’s blessing and guidance, we invite our friends and families of Green Hill to participate in programs sponsored by our church. These programs fall broadly three categories – Mission, Ministry, and Maintenance – and include the following committees:
