Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church of more than 300,000 women. The programming and resource options for the organization offer a variety of ways for women to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community.
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
- to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
- to support the mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice and peace,
- and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
PW at Green Hill
All women in our church women are encouraged to participate as they are Presbyterian Women.
Once a month, our Coordinating Team (CT) meets to discuss the business for the upcoming month. We plan fund raisers, organize mission support, and more. Following the CT meeting, we hold our monthly Bible Study. ALL women are welcome to join us.
Some of the organizations/mission projects we have supported are: Presbyterian Children’s Home, Medical Center Enterprise, Belhaven University, South Alabama Memorial Mission Scholarship Fund, Healthy Women Healthy Families, House of Ruth (Dothan), Enterprise Early Education Center, Victims of Earthquakes, Victims of Tornadoes, Mission Aviation Fellowship (Indonesia), Mission Haven, Matthew 28 Project (Haiti).
Three times a year we hold a gathering (Spring, Fall, and Christmas) and invite women from area churches to attend. These events generally feature some sort of entertainment or a special guest speaker. Gatherings are a great time for us to enjoy Christian Fellowship.
If you are interested in participating in any of the PW events, just check the Church Calendar page. If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 334-347-9530.
